Laundry top loading washer is not draining.

Issue

• Laundry washer not draining.
• Water not draining.
• Washer not removing water.
• There is still water in the tub

• Top loading laundry washers.

Solution

Has the unit moved recently, or the drain hose been bumped?

• Check the drain hose. If it is kinked, straighten the hose to improve the water flow to the drain.
• Ensure the drain is clear and not clogged.
• Standpipe cannot be more than 96 inches high.
• If the drain hose has been taped (or sealed) into the standpipe, the seal should not be completely tight because the standpipe requires air for proper draining. You may need to remove some of the tape on the seal to make an air path.
• Make sure the drain hose isn’t fitted too tightly in the standpipe. The standpipe needs to be at least 1 ¼ inches in diameter.
  Installation Issue: If the unit was installed or has been moved in the past 30 days, please consult the installer.

How much detergent do you typically use in a cycle?

• Sometimes using too much detergent can prevent the unit from draining properly.
• Do not fill any compartment in your dispenser beyond the maximum amount line.
  Note: Refer to the user manual for detailed guidance on dishwasher detergent.

How far is the standpipe away.

• It is possible the pipe is too far away. This may cause the pipe to not work properly.
• If possible, move the unit closer.

Are you pipes clogged?

• Check drain hose and drain pipe for clogs.
