Solution
Water Leaks Outside of Unit
Can you check all water connections and water valve on the back are secure and tightened?
- Loose connections could cause water to leak to the floor. Pull unit out from the wall and use a dry paper towel to wipe all water lines, connections and valve to determine if they are wet. Make sure to tighten all the connections by pushing together.
Has the door been left open an extended period of time?
- Leaving the door open causes air leaks which can cause the evaporator to ice up causing water to leak from the bottom. Close the door. The unit should restore itself to normal settings.
Water Leaks Inside of Unit
Have you changed your water filter recently?
- Make sure your water filter has been installed correctly and is securely installed in the unit.
Are there any cracks on the water filter?
- Cracks in the water filter can cause leaking in the cabinet along with slow or no water at the door. Remove the water filter from the housing and check the water filter for cracks and leaking. If filter is leaking or cracked replace water filter.
Has the door been left open for an extended amount of time?
- Leaving the door open causes air leaks which can cause the evaporator to ice up causing water to leak from the bottom of the ice maker. Close the door. The unit should restore itself to normal settings.
Water Leaks from the Dispenser
Do you see any ice blocking or frost forming around the outside or inside of the chute?
- Ice in the door/chute could melt and leak down the chute. Open the door and look down the chute to clear any frost or ice buildup.
Do you see any droplets forming at the tip of the water dispenser or is the tip wet?
- Air in the water line could cause water to drip from the water dispenser.
- For more information refer to your use and care manual.
