Solution
Temperature setpoint
- Setpoint temperature is the desired temperature of the unit, not the actual temperature of the room. The setpoint can be adjusted using up and down arrows between 60F and 90F in cooling, and between 55F and 80F for heating.
- NOTE: Settings may vary based on the model, please refer to your use and care manual for more information.
Fan Speed
- Fans speeds may be cycled using the “Fan speed” button to select between Auto, HI, MED, and LO. (Low speed fan only when in heating on 115V models)
- Some cycles on the unit will change the fan speed based on programming. A newer more energy efficient AC unit will cycle between fan speeds to achieve the best results while reducing operating cost of the unit.
- NOTE: Settings may vary based on the model, please refer to your use and care manual for more information.
Remote Sensing
- Remote sensing is when the AC unit uses the temperature surrounding the remote to determine when cooling/heating is needed.
- Example: In keeping the remote close by yourself while in the room the AC unit is located, the unit will continue to cool/heat until temp of remote is met. This will allow the you to make any adjustments immediately without going back to the control of the unit, and the temperature in room more accurate to what consumer is wanting.
- NOTE: Settings may vary based on the model, please refer to your use and care manual for more information.
ECO Mode
- ECO Mode is designed to be more energy efficient. By sampling the room temp in intervals instead of continuously running the fan.
- When the room temperature is below the set temperature, the fan will continue to run for 3 minutes after the compressor shuts off. The fan then cycles on for 2 minutes at 10 minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on.
- NOTE: Settings may vary based on the model, please refer to your use and care manual for more information.
