What is the best way to load the silverware basket?

Since the features and appearances of silverware baskets may vary by model, please reference your Owner’s Manual.

However, here are some overall helpful tips:

• Load the silverware basket while it is in the bottom rack or take the basket out for easy loading on a counter or table.
• For silverware baskets with lids, small items like baby bottle caps, jar lids, etc. can be placed in a covered section to hold them securely in place.
• Be sure nothing protrudes through bottom of silverware basket or rack that may block the spray arm.
• We recommend you do not mix silver and stainless to avoid damaging the silver finish.When you are not using the lids to your silverware basket, mix items in each section of the basket with some items pointing up and some down to avoid nesting.
• The water spray cannot reach nested items.
