- How many BTUs do I need
Applies to

Solution
The size of the air conditioning unit needed will depend on the size of the room you wish to cool. To determine which size unit will best cool your room, we will need to determine the square footage of your room.
How to find room square footage
- Measure the length and width of the room
- Multiply those numbers togethers, to get the room square footage.
What does BTU mean?
BTU stands for British Thermal Unit, a unit of measurement for heat energy. It's used to measure the amount of heat needed to raise or lower the temperature of one pound of water by one degree Fahrenheit. BTUs are commonly used in the HVAC industry to determine the efficiency of appliances, such as air conditioners and furnaces.
