Stone-Baked Pizza - Pizza not cooking or baking evenly in oven
Issue
- Pizza not cooking or baking evenly in oven
Applies to
- Stone-Baked Pizza Oven
Solution
- Check that Pizza Shield with Pizza Stone is placed on the correct oven rack at the rack position. Check the rack position number on the left side of the oven’s front frame. See User Manual for details regarding correct rack position number.
- We recommend using Stone-Baked Pizza Mode for thin fresh dough pizzas only (less than ¼-inch thick). Other doughs may not cook evenly.
- Low moisture (example pre-shredded cheeses) may cook faster and appear darker that fresh shredded cheeses.
- When inserting the pizza, ensure that the pizza is set onto the stone fully. To transfer the pizza, tilt the peel, touching the tip to the hot stone and push forward, using the pizza shield as a backstop to slide it off. Once the pizza touches the hot stone, do not try to move it - let it cook undisturbed for the best results.
- Uneven distribution of cornmeal on the pizza dough can cause sections of the crust to not cook evenly.
- We recommend using fresh dough when using Stone-Baked Pizza Mode and not using parbaked or precooked pizza doughs.
- After your pizza is placed in the oven, select Confirm and the oven will begin the 2-minute countdown.
- TIP: Turn on the sounds to hear the reminders of each cycle change.. For more information, please refer to your Use and Care Guide.
