Solution
How long has the unit been plugged in?
- The unit will need to stabilize it's temperature for 24 hours before ice production.
Has there been power outage recently?
- Locate circuit breaker box within home and flip the breaker off that corresponds to the refrigerator.
- Note: The unit will need 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize
Has the display been locked?
- Make sure your refrigerator display has not been locked, as it will not dispense water or ice if locked.
- Press and hold the lock key on your display for 3 seconds to unlock.
Is the unit dispensing water?
- The unit will need water in order to make ice, check the water lines are hooked up correctly.

Is the water filter installed correctly?
- Make sure the water filter is installed correctly and securely.
- Check the water filter to make sure it is not frozen or cracked.
- NOTE: We recommend you change your water filter every 6 months to ensure clean and safe drinking water and ice.
- NOTE: If you have recently installed a new water filter, make sure you have primed and purged the unit.
Is there some ice in the bucket?
- Check to make sure the auger isn't frozen and out of place. Please refer to your use and care manual for more information.
Are the doors completed closed?
- The unit will not dispense ice if the door is opened.
- Make sure the refrigerator doors are completely closed when trying to dispense.
Has the dispenser paddle been pressed too long?
- The dispenser has a built-in device that shuts off after 3 minutes of continuous use to prevent the motor from overheating.
- To reset the shutoff device, simply release the dispenser paddle and then resume if needed.
Is the Auger frozen?
- The auger Motor powers the arm inside the ice bin, allowing ice to flow freely from the dispenser in front of the unit.
- Check to see if there is ice melted and frozen around the auger due to infrequent use, temperature fluctuations, and/or power outages.
- Remove the ice bin, thaw and empty contents.
- Clean the ice bin (wipe/dry) and replace in proper position.
Is there any ice jammed between the ice maker and the ice bin?
- Take out the ice bin completely and remove the ice cubes.
- Replace the bin, and the dispenser should operate.
- When removing or replacing the ice bin, avoid rotating the auger in the ice bin.
- NOTE: If the auger is accidentally rotated, you must realign the auger by turning it in 45 degree turns until the ice bin fits into place. If the auger is not properly aligned, the refrigerator will not dispense ice and/or the door may not close properly.
